You have to apply for something. It would be pretty easy for you- we let Brits in here all the time. I personally know three who had marriages-of-convenience that allowed them to stay here permanently. This happens all the time.

The biggest concern about immigrants is whether or not they can be gainfully employed. If you want to move to the states, become a professional in a field that is needing people. Nursing/medical field and teaching come to mind. Then it is pretty easy to immigrate, I think.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

Depends what state and city he wants to live in. Also you may think USA is bad but compare it to other countries its not that bad really. Besides there is going to be political stalemate for the next two years. And that may not be a bad thing.

I would come with you, but there is a law there (I don't know if it passed or not) that says that they will arrest anyone who play first person shootem up video games, and since I do, I will be arrested. So I will stay where I am.

That's not really a law there.

that is only in bavaria, which includes munich.

most violent videogames are prohibited, not just first person shooter. the reason was because of school shootings. the law was passed in 2002.

i have a friend who was living in that area, who couldn't play diablo ii; he lived in a small town, near munich (don't remember the name) and just before the law passed he bought a german dii cd lol. what a ripoff eh?

anyways, that wouldn't stop me from going to germany; it is a more beautiful country.

I've always wanted to go to Germany. Someday I will.....

Yeah I know my cousin married a koreon girl so she could stay here. Funny thing is that after a few yrs she divorced him and opened up her own nail salon.
I know my grandparents came from Germany in 1930. I don't think they had to do anything special to stay here back then.
Appreciate the good times and learn from the bad times....
