Not to mention I love me some guns. My first real recreational purchase after I get a real job & pay off my debt is gonna be a $6K .50 BMG Barrett, before it gets banned under some misguided weapon-of-war law. And no...it has absolutely no practical application, other than taking out light-armored vehicles & recreational shooting.

This is my only problem with you. I think guns should be regulated, though I'm not nearly as extreme as Vashti about it. The gun you describe above should be illegal. I have a handgun and I know how to use it. I also know how to lock it up and keep it well away from my kid. I keep it for self-defense because I live by myself, but honestly, I'm not sure I could get to it fast enough if someone actually broke into my house.

If you want to spend six grand, take a few months off and go live on the beach like a king in Mexico. Doesn't that sound great?
