I love that movie. That movie changed my opinion of Brad Pitt. They did a great job.

yeah, for real, that movie really put brad pitt up there with some of the better actors out there. not to mention who was already an excellent actor (primal fear, american history x)

vashti, thanks for the offer but i understand the movie fine. it's just that living where i do, knowing the people that i do, most times when i bring up the flick, they say something stupid like 'dude, when that guy go shot in the head, oh man that was gross.' it isn't very often that people recognize the nieztchean impulses of many of the characters or it's links to buddhism. which is actually funny cause the movie wasn't very subtle with the philosophy stuff.

anyway, the only reason i brought the movie up was because i have an unhealthy obsession with it (signed poster, 2 signed books) and was curious as to who else had seen it.

I almost picked up the book.

But literally on my way to the checkout, I saw "American Skin" out of the corner of my eye.

Skinhead fiction.

I had to swap it out.

fair enough. have you seen american history x? that's a good movie, seems really realistic also emphasizes the whole stupidity of the skinhead thing.

anyway, you should pick up the book, it's a really good read. he's a really good author and if you do like it then you should also read survivor and haunted, two of his better books. though most people feel that choke is his best.

Edward Norton is a great actor ... one of my favorites ...

and just last month, I was on a Fight Club marathon ... I watched it for days straight ... i go thru lil spurts like that ...

American History X don't have shit on real Skins.
