ok, one of you girls need to help me, there's this girl who comes over to my house and asks me to go on walks, she says she wants a friend with "benefits", and calls me a friend usually and follows it up with I don't have too many friends. and the other day she said she is attempting to get a football player in the school to go to a dance with her, and she wants me to go to the dance, but just to hang out with some friends and mess around, to see that it isn't that bad. If you need a short profile to figure it out I'll include it right here, I'm a nice guy, I'm funny, but only charismatic around people I know. Please help me, is she trying to make me jealous, or does she just want to be friends, without the benefits (sorry about the pun)

I don't get it. She wants you to go to the dance as her date to make the football player jealous? Or she just thinks you should go to the dance because you might enjoy it?

Anyway, "friends with benefits" is a stupid arrangement. Someone always gets hurt because they start to fall for the other person.

no, i was wondering if she's trying to make me jealous by taking someone else, and getting me to go without a date, cause she thinks I may enjoy it, and no i don't want a friends with benefits relationship, I'll steer off that road when i come to it, I just wanted to know if she wanted me to make the connection between how she says i want a friend with benefits and she usually refers to the fact I'm one her friends. She seems to like me though, should I take a risk and ask her out, or should I go to the football player and try to kinda warn him, I want this girl, can u lay off

No - talk to her directly. Take the risk, it could work out. Just don't do the "friends with benefits" thing.

She sounds emotionally irresponsible. Have you heard the term "placeholder"? It's the guy you hang out with until you can be with the one you really want. Make sure you are not this guy.

Regardless of what she wants, it is for you to decide the dynamics of the relationship. Do you want a friendship with benefits? If you do then allow her the offer and see where it goes.
