Okay, so I get back from work t'day, and my dad comes in with my stepmom (I'm pretty sure she's my stepmom) and he starts tellin' me this story about some foreign chick wavin' them down because she was lost.

I could already see where this was going, but I continued to just nod and "mhmm".

Apparently she's in the US just for work right now, or school, I wasn't really paying attention, and my dad gave her his number and my number "just in case she ever needs anything".

He then proceeded to tell me that I should "hang out and show her around America".

Now, one might think I'm looking into this too deeply.

But this is not the first occurance.

During the break, Zen (stepmother) who works at a hotel with a lot of immigrants, brought home this russian chick to let her use the computer. On several occasions, my dad kept offering the house as a place to stay if she needed it, and suggested that I once again "show her around".

Right before I joined AmeriCorps, they brought home 3 asian chicks. Once again, my dad kept more or less offering my attention to them without me really having any word on the matter.

Coincidence? Hell no. I have yet to see them bring back a foreign guy who needs an escort to show him around town.

Actually...I fear the day that he brings back a guy. I bet he would.

They come across them often, once again, because of where Zen works, there's a lot of immigrants. We don't have a lot of mexicans here, we get a lot of eastern europeans, Indians, and asians here in NE Philly.

I guess it's easy for them to pull this 'cause they're well..."vulnerable". They don't speak the language that well and don't know the area that well either.

They usually tend to be pretty attractive I won't deny. But the foreign aspect kills it for me, and so is the way I'm being introduced to them. Plus, now my dad doesn't know this, but my attention is elsewhere at the moment.

They want me to help because they're trying to hook me up with them. That's not official, but that's all I can see in it, why else would they constantly haggle me about it? There's nothing I can do they can't do themselves for these girls. Hell they could do more even.

I haven't expressed the discomfort because I know I'm not going to take the initiative to do what they want me to.

I might hear about this chick a few more times this week and then it'll be forgotten.

My dad doesn't really celebrate Thanksgiving so that's not even an issue.
