I'm so annoyed.
My phone was stolen yesterday.
Can't claim it from insurance.
Gonna cost me £200 to buy new one.

No, actually!!
Left it in my bag outside assembly hall - was taken from my bag.
It's happened twice now in just over a year.
Grr.

first thing, so this is the second time this year that it has happened?? how many times has it happened before?? and you would think to get insurance by now correct??

well on one of those drunk occasions, my friend dropped my cell into my beverage. it was roughly 4 months old and i didn't have any insurance. damn, that was hard to eat up. well after that like you, i didn't learn and i still don't have insurance. go figure huh?

Why would you leave your phone in your bag OUTSIDE the assembly hall in the first place? Also. How old are you?

Kiechi - I'm 15, everyone has to leave their bags outside, it's usually safe.
Illusional - it's the second time in just over a year that this has happened. Only second ever time, my sister has had hers stolen as well though, so has my friend.
It's covered under the house possessions insurance, but when making a claim, you have to pay the first few hundred pounds yourself. So therefore I could not claim anything.

Believe me, once I get back with my old phone, I'm never letting it off of myself.

The only thing you can do is just move on and learn from your mistakes. But yea; I would be pretty pissed off too if I lost my cellphone...:-/

£200 for a phone..? What phone was it? and for gods sakes get a cheaper one next time, unless you really need it. Mine cost like, below 90€ and came with 80€ call credit on it, so it hardly cost a few euro. (it's a SE 300i from o2)

Do you have the original box to your phone? If someone you know has mysteriously gotten the same phone as you RIGHT when you lost it and you suspect they took it, go to a teacher (or supervisor, whoever is in charge of wherever it was taken) and ask them if you can see the back of the phone. If you take the battery out of the phone, there's a code in there. If you look at the IMEI code, and compare it to the IMEI code on the non-removable sticker on the box your phone came in, and it's the same code, then that phone IS yours.

No two IMEI codes are the same. It's like a serial number for your phone. If the original box you have in your possession matches the code on the phone - they took it. I know quite a few people who took their story to he principal when we were in school and would do that, and 9/10 times they got their phone back.

Don't just go out accusing people, but I figured I'd let you in on that tip.
