Women dating shorter men

Ok, I just wanted to get people's thoughts on this.

I have a little bit of a hang up over dating men shorter than me. I'm not sure why, but I think it may have something to do with an innate need for a big tall man to be my 'protector'....I don't know for sure.

Dilemma: I met a man I am crazy about and would really like to date. He is gorgeous and sweet and everything I've been looking for. My stupid hangup though? He's the same height as me. I'm 5'7", but I wear heels alot, so most of the time I stand around 5'10", which means I would usually stand taller than him.

So, any other girls out there feel the same way? Guys, do you have a problem dating women taller than you? And does anyone have any suggestons how I can get the stupid thing out of my head that's holding me back from dating an otherwise perfect man?

I dont think it matters...I suppose if you like the guy, why should it matter how tall he is?

i can't say i've dating any women taller than me.. I can't say I know any women as tall as me....

i prefer short girls honestly. But i don't see a big deal in height

My sister is married to a man who is shorter than she is. It bothered her a little, but he is absolutely perfect for her, so she tries to ignore it. She also tries to look for flat shoes.

I'm not really into dating guys who are super short, but I've often found myself dating and interested in guys the same height as I am, or even a bit shorter. As long as it isn't an issue for them, and as logn as I am itnerested in other ways, it is no biggie. (usually I like them strong to compensate for teh shortness though).

My best friend thinks I'm nuts by the way. She gave me the same suggestion as shh........buy flat shoes and go for it (if the height thing bugs me that much).

I mean, he seems to be interested in me, so I'm guessing the height thing is not a problem for him.......or maybe he's used to women being taller than him. I mean, for a guy, 5'7" is pretty short.

Try him out for a while. That will give you an idea if a lifetime of flat shoes would be worth it.
