i'm seen many cartoons/shows where people hold up a sign saying "(name) 3:16" or something while wearing a clown wig...what is that suppose to mean?

Although I've never seen it in a cartoon, John 3:16 is from the Bible, the book of John, chapter 3, verse 13 -

haha i was just watching a movie called "stay tune" or something along those lines with john ritter. well there was a sign that said lucifer 3:16.. haha the total opposite. raverboy
...this is just my perspective on the situation...
