How long do you think I should wait...

How long do you think I should wait before going steady with this girl? The obvious answer in this case would most likely be, "When It feels right" or "Whenver you feel ready." I just want to see what you guys may have to say int his particular situation.

The girl: Sarah
The situation: We've been friends for a few years, and have both liked each other for some time.
The status: We're still freinds, but we are casually dating/getting to know each other more intimately. (as intamate as you can get whilst being friends) It's been a good 2 weeks of this so far, and we've both told each other that we want to do this right, and have a solid, lasting relationship. Simply put, i guess we're both looking at this with the idea of it being for the long run.

My question is this. How long would be wise to keep this dating going on, before jumping into it together? Should I wait until I can no longer find out anything new through a freindship, then take it to the next level?

if you're both showing interest and have discussed it...especially if you're both interested for the long run but you're wanting to make it exclusive i'd say you should bring it up with her. you've known each other for some time now so you should be able to talk to her with some confidence. just let her know that you'd like to be exclusive with her and see what she says. if she's as into this as you the answer is obvious as long as the timing is right. good luck!!
