This thread is making me want to go to Amsterdam. It's really cheap to go there from England too, hmmm.

I'd like to point out that there is no such thing as a unbias study on this subject. This study is no different. The rhetoric of the article is undeniably (and pretty unbelievably) skewed toward WANTING to reach a certain set of facts. I don't care if he is from harvard, cuz harvard has the same potheads with agendas as everyone else. And notice that the only empirical studies were done on mice. Guess what mice =/= humans. Especially mentally. Humans are SIGNIFICANTLY diverse from almost all other mammals as far as brain structure and functioning is concerned. I don't know if these results will be confirmed, but this is just something to think about. Don't jump on the first ideas that support what you're doing, as they could always turn out to be wrong.

Secondly, I'm down with what RK was saying. Its all about responsibility with the substance. We all know that a small amount of alcohol about everyday is good for your blood pressure. Does this mean we should get hammered? No. So even if pot can have benefits, it in no way reflects the ability of society to handle those benefits. Because, lets face it, virtually nobody out there right now is thinking "I'm gonna smoke a little today to help protect my brain against tumors." Instead, most people doing it are thinking "I'm gonna get ****ing blazed to forget all my problems and then I'm gonna go take a drive." So, personal benefit =/= social and personal responsibility. Weed is still a danger no matter how helpful it may be. Despite being possibly benifial in the long run, it is dangerous and destructive when taken in copious amounts.

I still stand by the fact that there are 100s of other ways to enjoy life AND be healthy. It certainly beats sitting on your ass... and smelling like it too.
    I'm drowning in assholes.

Debunkt, I do not know if you actually read the article but it consisted of multiple studies. Also they were not just done on mice...it says that resonance imaging was done on human's brains...

I'm boring, too. I'm not into smoking pot because it makes me have munchies, makes me paranoid, and then I fall asleep. No thanks.

I dont get it Carp, what are you trying to prove? Honestly dude, No one cares if you smoke or dont. I would not touch that crap if it was legal. Why, simply because I dont want too, but you, you seem to have some type of agenda to prove or should I say justify your own use in everyone elses eyes, dude, whocares?!. I dont care, legalize the damn thing, but tax the living shiet out of it hahaha, so I can pay less taxes. People make it sound like we care, go ahead! smoke weed! but if you do it infront of my face and that shiet gets in my lungs than I am going Tito Ortiz on your a$$.
