A videotape released Tuesday shows a sheriff’s deputy shooting an unarmed Air Force policeman who recently returned from Iraq as he appeared to obey an order to get up off the ground.

Carrion is heard telling the officer he is unarmed and is in the military.

At one point, a voice is heard saying several times: “Get up.”

Carrion says: “I’m gonna get up.” As he rises, at least four shots are fired and Carrion collapses, crying out in pain.

“Shots fired! Shots fired!” someone shouts.

The b*tch of it all, is if it wasn't caught on tape - they would have simply said he was resisting arrest.. or made a "threatening" move when he got up off the ground.

But we can clearly see the deputy says "Get up" several times... and he tells the cop he's unarmed and in the military, then says "Okay I'm going to get up" and as he's gettin up the cop just starts shooting...

It's not like he jerked up suddenly, or made any sudden move, he clearly stated "Okay I'm going to get up" after he was ordered to... GET UP! THANK GOD the man survived being shot 3 times, in his chest, ribs, and leg.. he could have easily have been killed for simply following the deputies orders.

i was speechless when i saw it. that's a scary truth Tone. imagine if there was no camera. NOBODY would've beleive the soldier. he would've been tagged with resisting arrest...

...i'm tired of coppers saying that the 'moment' of the situation plays a huge role, i mean, that's what coppers do, they must learn to control the MOMENT, and do their job civily, nobody said it was an easy job!


but what i saw on that tape is just NOT ACCEPTABLE. i mean, this copper should be punished. that is a crime. i mean, i wouldn't want to even be in the same room as him.
