American History X ... have YOU seen it ?

yea , just watched this movie , like fight club , it came out a LONG time ago , very good movie , sometimes in black and white , about nazi's and white/blacks type of groups ...

one of the sickest part in the movie is when he cracks the black guys jaw on the curv . he litterally spread his face in half ( i would imagine)

Offcourse the crack was made by breaking probably some sticks infront ofa recorder....but...I liked that movie. Shows what hate can do to people.

As usual, OV cuts to the core. That's precisely why I enjoyed the film. Most I talked with about it couldn't get passed it's "shocking realism" made all the more "poignant" by the use of b/w film. How "verite." Idiots.

Eek. Just noticed on the LF sponsor link frame a provocative blurb: "Crack." What? LF pushing crack now?

Yes, The main point of the movie that I caught was that if you hate so much you might forget to live your own life in the process. Hate will consume you. I don't think many people caught on to most of it. They walked out of the theaters being shocked that the "insulting" to other races words were used and the violence.

Hehe, sorry. I was very tired and in a weird mood when I put that link up and didn't think about that. I'll put up a warning on loud or high pitched sounds on any links I pop up in the future.

Never seen it, suprisingly... I get real emotional in racism/hate movies so I'm suprised I still haven't seen this yet. Always meant to, just never got around to it.

LOL, I originally watched it because of Edward Norton but i got really into it. It made a lot of good points of hatred in there as you all have spoken about already. Ov, I imagine that noise of his skull against the curb was something else but the timing of it was perfect.. everytime I hear that on there I cringe!

Yeah, same with me Rosebud. I like Edward Norton, he was funny in Death to Smoochy.
