    Average cost on date...

Just curious, how much do you guys usually spend on a date with a gal? 50 bucks, 60 bucks?

I'm just curious cause I'm kind of wondering if there are any expectations as to how much I should be paying.

When you take a girl out for a date it's not about the money... i don't know if it's just a friendly date... or if you love the girl... sure you must allready have dated before! it doesn't has to be expensive... just kinda fun or romantic so it's not like you have to spend 50 or 60 bucks for a date!!! me usually when i went dating i usually just took her to the cinema and treated her i only spent in total sometimes 25 euro or sometimes less but not more...

A great date is not determined by the amount of money you've spent. A great date is all about ease of conversation and hopefully, chemistry. The rest is merely incidental.

Go for a walk and get ice cream!
That's pretty cheap and also fun!

Or you can go to fancy-pants restaurant and spend a fortune followed by expensive theatre tickets.

now, if I guy I was dating was to shell out big bucks in the early stages of dating, I would be quite intimidated, actually. It would feel like there was a lot of pressure to have a relationship with him or something.

So, I think lighter and simpler is better.

You can also find places to eat that aren't very expensive but fun and interesting.

I also believe that while it is nice for the guy to treat on a date, it isn't necessary. In fact, I like to split bills or also pay sometimes. I'm not out for a guy's money or to be a freeloader. I usually want to be with a guy for his company...

I'll just pretend you did and appropriately be offended:

    How rude!

My girlfriend and I have been splitting our dates since the beginning. Some nights I pay, some nights she pays. Pretty much 95% of the time that we do a cooked dinner, she cooks for me at her place.

**** the bullshit idea that men must pay for everything, and to hell with the WOMEN who think you should too!

Word of advice and caution fellas, and you will always hear me say this - AVOID CHICKS who think you should always be paying!

P.S. If you are just DATING who the hell cares if you pay all the time? Does it get you in her pants faster? Why have you fallen victim to this age old bullshit idea that means nothing? You will get no extra attention (except bad) in the long run if you pay ALL the time. Trust me on this.
