1000 character limit on private messages

I find it sad that we have a 1000 character limit for private messages as seen here:

Also sad I can only make links after 30 days of being a member...

Its a sad word. But character limit didnt stopped me and my friend to send 700 messages to eachother. Also 30 days will pass soon.

Lots of issues here, you apparently can upgrade ( that means pay the website) to drop the character limits. Not sure anyone does that.... I don't really use the PMs on here so I don't care about the limit. Does your thanks and likes buttons also not work?
