Night time in 1997. Near the Rocky Mountain Range along the boarder, my friend and I had just had a bowl of Chili. I had borrowed a guitar and he had come to retrieve and I fed him some food. Afterwards we went outside to have a smoke. Looking up into the clear cold night out from the left side of the sky a bright white light, no sound, came from the left just like that, in an instant, kind of a warbled pulse light which seemed rather contained considering it was so bright, it kept close to itself. It stopped and hovered above the Poppler Trees which were nestled down in the gulley below us. Full grown trees who's canopy must have been some 100 plus feet up. This 'light craft' seemed about 100' or so above them. It was beautiful. It pulsed bright white light. It only lasted seconds but It stayed long enough for a little 'fear' to come into my heart and as soon as it did (the fear), it was gone. dang. It came from the left of the sky, stopped, hovered and bam, gone just like that but it went up to the right sky, like a boomerang was its trajectory. We both saw it. He tried to convince me it could have been human made. No flippin way it was.
You know, when ever I think of it, I really wish I hadn't been afraid. I wasn't at first; it only lasted seconds the whole experience but maybe if I hadn't allowed my fascination to turn into fear, it may have stayed longer. It was an interesting experience. I made the mistake of sharing it with my immediate Family.
